Mosquito Fire Protection District

Fire Department

In 1978, the local voters approved the formation of the Mosquito Fire Protection District. The District is a tax-supported Special District charged by the State with the responsibility of providing fire suppression, fire prevention, public education and first responder emergency medical services within District boundaries. The District's assets include Fire Station 75, the station grounds and the fire fighting equipment housed there. Its members are the paid staff and the men and women living in the community who volunteer their time as Volunteer Firefighters and Support Group members.
