Our new Type 6 OES engine left the station at 6:30 am this morning bound for the Bootleg Incident in Oregon.  It is staffed by Captain Lugo, Operator Hopkins, Firefighter Johns and Firefighter G. Dillender.  They are with a mixed task force group from Sacramento, Shasta and Placer Counties.  We wish them Godspeed and a safe return.

Our station remains staffed, equipped and on the ready for any incident.

Mosquito Fire District received a new Type 6 Engine on June 24th.

This is a 2020 HME – Ahrens Fox Built Ford for the California Office of Emergency Services (OES).

It has 2 water pumps. The main pump is 500 GPM and the Auxilliary Pump is 200 GPM.  The vehicle carries 300 gallons of water and a supply of wildland firefighting foam.

This vehicle comes equipped with state of the art HURST Battery powered extrication equipment and has a full compliment of hose / equipment and tools.

This vehicle will be used in District as well on strike teams when called by the OES. This will help the community by offering an easier access vehicle for fire response as well as a secondary response to back up the engine on all normal calls.
