This Fire Impact Fee Nexus Study (“Nexus Study”) was prepared pursuant to the Mitigation Fee Act (“Act”) as found in Government Code § 66000 et seq.  The purpose of this Nexus Study is to establish the legal and policy basis for the collection of a new fire impact fee (“Fee”) on new development within the Mosquito Fire Protection District.
