MFPD PSA
On Saturday 3/12 at 1:55pm, on duty firefighters received a telephone call to Station 75 reporting a motorcycle accident with injuries on Rock Creek Road two miles north of One Eye Creek Rd, in the El Dorado National Forest. Mosquito Firefighters located and treated a male patient, who had been thrown from his motorcycle after hitting a large pothole. An air ambulance arrived at the Swansboro Airport and District’s Support Group personnel transported the flight nurse and paramedic to the scene. The patient received advanced life support care for moderate injuries and was flown to a trauma center by helicopter.

MFPD PSA – Weather Outdoor Burn Advisory
Due to the predicted increases in wind activity CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit has suspended all outdoor debris burning for the next 2 days: Thursday 3/10 and Friday 3/11. Be sure to call our local air quality district to ensure the suspension has been lifted prior to resuming any debris burning. El Dorado County Burn Day Information (530) 621-5897.

MFPD PSA – La Paz Residential Fire 3-6-2022 After Action Report
The fire originated in the wall and ceiling area above the wood stove. Personnel will be assisting resident with securing a hole in the roof.
7 firefighters on initial response along with 6 support group members. 5 additional support group on standby. Salvage and overhaul assisted by County Fire Engine and Medic 25-Diamond Springs engine 349- Garden Valley engine 351. Fire contained and knocked down by Mosquito FD prior to mutual aid arrival.

MFPD PSA – Residential Fire 3-6-2022 –
MFPD Dispatched at 0605 to a structure fire on La Paz Rd. Remote location with no address numbers posted. First units arrived at 0620 with a fire in the wall of a mobile home. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down and are overhauling and salvaging contents. Limited fire damage but smoke damage to residence. Residents evacuated safely and no injuries
